FUTSAL Festival
2012 FUTSAL FESTIVAL - Saturday, February 11th and Sunday, February 12th!
The origin of FUTSAL can be traced back to 1930 when a five-a-side version of soccer was devised for YMCA youth competitions. Derived from the Spanish words for soccer (FUTbol) and room (SALon), FUTSAL is generally played indoors with a smaller, less bouncy ball on a hard court between two teams each with five players, one of whom is the goalkeeper.
The 2012 FUTSAL FESTIVAL will be from 4:30pm-9pm on Saturday Feb. 11 and will continue from 9am-12pm on Sunday Feb. 12 at the Center Moriches High School and Middle School gyms. Cost is $250 per team (max. 7 person roster) and includes t-shirt, pizza and drinks, plus music by DJ Ronnie and local youth bands! All teams are guaranteed 3 games plus at least 1 playoff game.
